Mr. Ostrow is a partner in the Business Department.  His practice focuses on representing commercial developers, landlords and tenants in leasing transactions, real estate litigation and bankruptcies.  He also has significant experience in commercial foreclosures and loan workouts, property receivers, complex asset recovery actions and insolvency proceedings.

Mr. Ostrow represents real estate developers and other property owners in real estate matters pertaining to shopping centers, enclosed malls, multi-family apartments, office buildings and other mixed use properties.  He also has provided counsel to a variety of tenants such as national clothing stores and regional pizza chains, supermarkets and coffee franchisers.  The real estate work includes lease preparation, renewals and modifications; lease enforcement litigation; resolution of disputes regarding early tenant closures, lease assignments, cam and percentage rent issues, operating covenants and co-tenancy and exclusivity clauses; and the sale and assumption or rejection of leases in tenant bankruptcies.

In addition, Mr. Ostrow  has represented numerous financial institutions, insurance companies, mortgage companies and other creditors in a myriad of creditors' rights, lender liability and insolvency proceedings.  He has foreclosed upon business inventory and equipment, shopping centers, housing developments, apartment and office buildings.  Mr. Ostrow focuses on promptly and efficiently reaching the client's goals, whether they be securing, enhancing or recovering the collateral, working out a non-performing loan,  or resolving protracted litigation through alternative dispute resolution.  He has experience in representing clients in ADR procedures and proceedings, including arbitrations in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules and consensual or court-ordered mediations and settlement conferences.

Mr. Ostrow received his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Vermont in 1984. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University National Law Center in 1987, where he was a member of the National Law Center's Law Review. He is admitted to practice in all courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the U.S.  District and Bankruptcy Courts for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.  Mr. Ostrow has been AV rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
